Dr. Kwak received his medical degree from The University of Texas medical school at Houston before heading to California to complete his internal medicine residency at UC Irvine Medical Center. He then moved across the country to New York City where he completed his gastroenterology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. He then moved back to Texas to pursue additional training in advanced endoscopy at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Kwak has a special interest in pancreaticobiliary diseases and has specialized training in ERCP, cholangioscopy, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection, endoluminal stent placement, complex stricture dilation, and Barrett’s ablation techniques. He is board certified in both gastroenterology and internal medicine.
